Care Instructions – Keep the Raunak Alive

Every Desi Raunak piece is crafted with love, heritage, and fine detail. A little extra care will help it last longer and keep looking beautiful.

Washing:

It is recommended to hand wash your garments separately in cold water. Using a mild detergent is crucial to prevent damage to the fabric. Avoid soaking or wringing the garment, as this can lead to distortion and loss of shape. Additionally, refrain from using bleach or harsh chemicals, as these can compromise the integrity of the silk and affect the vibrant colors.

Drying:

To maintain the color and quality of your Garment, it is advisable to dry the garment in the shade. Always turn the garment inside out before drying to protect the colors from fading due to direct sunlight. Tumble drying should be avoided, as it can cause shrinkage and damage to the delicate fabric.

Ironing:

When it comes to ironing, use low to medium heat settings. A steam iron is preferable, as it helps to remove wrinkles without direct contact with the fabric. If using a regular iron, it is best to iron the garment inside out to prevent any potential damage to the surface and to preserve the intricate details of the design.

Storing:

Proper storage is essential for maintaining the quality of your garments. Store them in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture damage. For Bandhani or embellished pieces, it is advisable to fold them neatly rather than hanging them. Hanging can lead to stretching and distortion of the garment's shape, which may affect its overall appearance.

A Gentle Reminder:

Bandhani is an artisanal craft characterized by unique tie-dye patterns. It is important to note that slight color bleeding may occur during the first wash, which is a natural occurrence and should not be considered a defect. Each piece is distinct, reflecting the artistry and skill involved in its creation.

By adhering to these care instructions, you can ensure that your Garments remain beautiful and elegant for years to come.
